Carnival was a brass band Musical Review as played by the Hannaford Street Silver Band.
It was a one off on May 8th matinee at the Jane Mallett Theatre in the St. Lawrence Centre.
Great Band good fun. They had a soloist by the name of LIam Teague playing the Steelpan.
What an experience he turned his steelpan so we could see what he was doing and how he created those incredible sounds.
The first 3 musical pieces were of a classical vane. With the next three being Steelpan.
After the intermission came six more pieces that were on an island theme.
Altogether a very enjoyable musical afternoon.
Mom’s day dinner came directly after.
4 stars on this one.
