243 Macdonell Avenue
The Macdonell Lofts are housed in a relatively small tool and dye factory building located in Roncesvalles Village and were converted into six hard lofts. It is one of earliest conversions, it was completed probably around 1986. Originally all units were heated by electric baseboards, but by now many have been renovated and are heated by gas.
These Toronto Loft sizes vary, some of the units have rooftop terraces. They rarely become available, and last one was sold in 2007 for $425,000. Maintenance fees are approximately $0.27 per square foot and covers building insurance, common elements, water and parking. This is a pet-friendly building.
The Macdonell Lofts range from 1,000 to 2,000 square feet and are on 2 or 3 levels. The views from the rooftop can be quite stunning. With the development of the Robert Watson Lofts and accompanying interest in the area, these will not likely stay hidden for long.
